June 13: Bath (Tour Guide/Guided Tour)

On day seven we traveled to Bath. Here the first thing we saw when we arrived was the beautiful Bath Abbey. It is located right beside the Roman Baths, and steals your attention the whole time you wait in line. We got our tickets and headed into the Roman Baths. As soon as you walk in they give you a device that acts as your guide. As you walk to different stations you are given a number to type in and it plays the corresponding information. As you travel through you get to see the old retired baths, and also the springs that still supply the main large bath in the center. There are many artifacts that you can view including original pieces of the architecture and even a skeleton found there. Once you finish walking through you come to the gift shop which has amazing bath water chocolate! When our group was done we went exploring while the others finished. We ended up at a pastry shop where we bought some early lunch and sat down together. When it was time we walked to the coach and headed farther into the city to pick up our tour guide for our bus tour. Our guide showed us the beautiful city of Bath, pointing out each land mark and well known store. We took a quick stop to see where they filmed Bridgerton's Featherington house and was able to shop in their gift shop. From here we were dropped off in the middle of the city and left to explore for an hour until dinner. Part of our group decided to go see where they filmed Bridgerton's Lady Danbury house. It was across town but the walk there was beautiful. the whole street is rows upon rows of town houses giving the illusion that the street is miles long. We then walked to dinner at Banana Tree where we had delicious food. After we headed to the landmark named white horse. We walked out to be able to get a clear view of the historic site. After we loaded back up and headed to the hotel. Bath was a wonderful experience and fulfilled my dream of seeing where the show Bridgerton is filmed.
